The Montessori is a warm, open place that has been created keeping the child as a priority. Children experience things important to their development by demonstrating their abilities in an emotionally secure environment and the focus in the Montessori is to create such an environment. They have the ability to explore as well as experience things first hand. They are allowed to express themselves freely and in many ways.
We believe that early childhood is the period that children develop their foundation of life and hence we try to provide a Montessori environment which would help achieve these basic goals:
Basic habits and attitudes necessary for developing a healthy, safe, and happy life and develop the foundation for a healthy body and mind
Help children learn to love and trust people. Also develop their independence, cooperation, and good morals
Develop their interest in the things around them, such as nature. Develop their feelings, and their ability to contemplate
Develop their interest in daily verbal expression. Develop their listening and speaking skills, and their understanding of the language.
Cultivate sensitivity and creativity through various experiences.
The Montessori Method of education is perhaps, the most widely accepted system of child education for age group of 0 to 9 years of children. This method is designed so that the impetus of the holistic development of the child comes from the child himself. The child is the centre of education and the teacher is a guide and observer in the process of learning. Environments are created in which the child's personality can be made to blossom and grow to its fullest potential. The Montessori system recognizes the crucial importance of a child's first six years of development. It is during this time that a child's power of absorption is the highest and the lifelong attitudes and patterns of learning are firmly formed. Children in this stage are to be respected as different from the adults and as individuals who differ from each other. The child in this stage possesses an unusual sensitivity and intellectual ability to absorb and learn from the environments that are unlike those of the adult both in quality and capacity.
